Interviews to fill the Milton Ward 1,6,7,8 trustee vacancy have been scheduled for Wednesday, July 25, 2018 beginning at 2:30 p.m. Halton District School Board trustees voted for a public application and interview process to fill the trustee vacancy at their June 20, 2018 meeting.
A total of seven applications were received by the published deadline of July 12, 2018 at 4 p.m. One candidate has since withdrawn. The six remaining candidates will be interviewed by trustees in public at this specially scheduled meeting on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Interviews will be video/voice recorded.
The trustee candidates to be interviewed for the Milton Ward 1,6,7,8 vacancy are Iram Amjad, Heather Gerrits, Sarah Jensen, James Harrison, Neel Bhatt, and Reza Ali Chaudhry.
The trustee vacancy was created by Trustee Kim Graves who informed the Board of her resignation on June 20, 2018 because she is moving out of the region, making her ineligible to continue as a Halton trustee.
Deliberations will be in public, however voting will be by secret ballot. A Special Board Meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on July 25, 2018 to ratify the Board’s decision. The successful candidate will be sworn in at the first regular board meeting on September 5, 2018.
