UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory in Milton

The Boil Water Advisory issued for parts of Milton remains in effect until at least Monday, December 10. Please continue to follow the precautions below if your home or business is located in the affected area.

The advisory will be lifted when laboratory tests confirm that the water is safe to drink. We will notify you by telephone, post social media and update our website at this time.

This is an important message from Halton Region. Halton Region’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for an area in Milton as a result of a watermain break. The Boil Water Advisory is in effect until at least Monday. It will be lifted once the safety of the water has been confirmed by laboratory tests. Please continue to check back here for updated information.

Residents should use an alternate water supply or boil their water at a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking, gargling, brushing teeth or rinsing their mouth; making baby food or formula; washing dishes; washing fruits, vegetables and other food; or making any meals, drinks or ice.

As a result of the Boil Water Advisory, Public Health is notifying facilities where food is prepared for public consumption such as restaurants and fast food outlets, in the affected areas of Milton that they are to remain closed until the advisory is lifted.

Residents who require potable water can bring their own containers to the Milton Sports Centre, located at 605 Santa Maria Boulevard, to be filled with potable water free of charge. The filling stations will remain open during regular operating hours.

  • Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Monday: 6 a.m. to 12 a.m.
