The Halton Police have successfully apprehended one of the four suspects implicated in a series of residential break-ins spanning Halton, the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA), and Southern Ontario.
On Thursday, November 30, 2023, the police officers arrested Paul Nkrumah (36) of Brampton in Smithville. At the time of his arrest, Nkrumah was found possessing a stolen Jeep Cherokee.
In addition to the break-and-enter charges, Nkrumah is now facing a litany of additional charges, including dangerous driving, flight from police, assault with intent to resist arrest, and possession of stolen property exceeding $5000. Nkrumah has been held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled in Milton.
On November 21, 2023, search warrants were executed at four residences linked to the suspects in Mississauga, Brampton, and Hagersville. However, police recovered numerous items believed to be stolen from various break-ins, and the suspects eluded arrest during the operation.
Arrest warrants have been issued for the remaining three suspects concerning 30 residential break-ins across Halton, Peel, York, Caledon, and Hamilton. The identified individuals are Jordan Saccucci (33) of Mississauga (known to frequent the Innisfil area), Marcel Blackburn (37) of Hagersville (known to frequent the GTA), and Dumark Lindsay (41) of Mississauga (known to frequent the Brampton/Mayfield area).
The police continue their efforts to bring the remaining suspects to justice, urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in their apprehension.
