The Milton Town Council has approved the allocation of $433,168 in grants from the Milton Community Fund to 44 local organizations, supporting their efforts to make Milton a “place of possibility.”

The Milton Community Fund provides financial support to not-for-profit organizations and programs that enhance local access to artistic, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Established by the Milton Council, the fund distributes a portion of the revenue from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Woodbine-Mohawk Park) to benefit the community. Since its inception in 2001, the fund has contributed over $8.1 million to local organizations.

“The Town is dedicated to supporting local not-for-profit organizations that help our community thrive. Grants from the Milton Community Fund empower these organizations to launch initiatives that unite our residents and enhance the quality of life in our community,” said Gord Krantz, Mayor of Milton.

This year’s funding will enable recipient organizations to continue fostering community connections, enriching cultural experiences, and expanding recreational programs for Milton residents.
