On October 19th 2016, the one year anniversary of his election to Parliament, MP Raj Grewal was proud to launch the ‘MP for a Day’ opportunity for youth. This is an opportunity for Canadian youth, sixteen to twenty-four years of age, to apply to be an ‘MP for a day’.
At his own personal expense, MP Grewal will invite one youth from those that apply to spend two days shadowing him in Ottawa and the wonderful riding of Brampton East to see what it’s like to be a Member of Parliament.
About this opportunity, MP Grewal said, “Growing up I was fortunate enough to have some great mentors, in business, law and in politics. Part of the reason I ran to become an MP was to ensure that future generations had the same opportunities that I did. Whether it is through increased government funding for youth programming, the Brampton East Youth Council, or this initiative, I will continue to advocate for more opportunities for youth. I look forward to hosting the first successful ‘MP for a Day’ candidate soon.”

The application deadline is November 1st 2016.
