Town Milton Asks: What Does Milton Mean to You?

April 7, 2017 Editor Featured Comments Off on Town Milton Asks: What Does Milton Mean to You?

The Town of Milton has embarked on a project to update its corporate brand and visual identity (logo).  Launched in 1990, the current Town of Milton logo faces reproduction challenges in today’s digital environment and the brand requires an update to meet the communications and marketing goals of the corporation.

“This is about so much more than developing a new logo,” said Milton Mayor Gord Krantz. “This is about creating a brand that tells the story of the opportunities and possibilities that exist in our growing community.”

Already in 2017, The Milton Visual Identity Project has completed a competitive analysis and stakeholder engagement process. This next phase of public engagement aims to focus some of the early feedback, identify common points of pride for Miltonians, and better understand how residents, businesses and visitors see the community today and in the future.

“The primary goal of this project is to ensure the brand that we develop is authentic to Milton and reflective of the community we’re building,” said Jodie Sales, Manager of Corporate Communications and Marketing. “Expected to grow to a population of 235,000 by 2031, we want to develop a brand that brings our story to life that has meaning to ensure longevity.”

Miltonians are asked to participate in this important conversation by completing a short online survey (www.milton.ca/IdentitySurvey) before April 17. Volunteers will also be collecting feedback from residents and visitors at the Milton Centre for the Arts/Main Library and the Milton Sports Centre on April 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and April 12 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.  Additional feedback can be emailed to Jodie.Sales@milton.ca.

As a thank you for participating in the survey, respondents have the option to be entered into a draw to win one of two pairs of tickets to a show of their choice at the Milton Centre for the Arts (2017/18 season). Winners will be notified by the end of April 2017.
