With the provincial election finished, the focus turns to municipal politics in Ontario. On June 24, Ward 4 resident Sameera Ali made her candidacy official with a campaign kickoff at the Milton Legion surrounded by friends and family.
She was welcomed by support from Milton MP Lisa Raitt. Raitt spoke about community support despite political differences. “In Milton that’s the normal. We have people who care about our community, and want to serve on council,” she told supporters.
Finishing of a series of speeches was Ali herself.
