Halton Police have apprehended Paul Swanson, a 62-year-old resident of Brampton, in connection with a sexual assault incident at Oakville Place Mall.
Swanson faces multiple charges related to the assault, including committing an indecent act, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, and failing to comply with probation conditions.
Swanson remains in custody pending a bail hearing following his arrest.
The alleged offences occurred on February 9, 2024, within the Dollarama store situated inside the mall. According to reports, Swanson approached two female teenagers and engaged in physical contact while exposing himself. Fortunately, the victims did not sustain any physical injuries during the incident.
Authorities suspect that there might be additional victims. Investigators urge anyone with relevant information or who may have been victimized by Swanson to reach out to the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit.
