The Georgetown Lions Club and St. George’s Anglican Church, through their Breakfast with Santa event, raised funds and food for local charities.
Organizers said the breakfast, held Dec. 13, was well attended with 140 people participating across the two sittings.
As a result of the community turnout, $600 was raised for each organization and attendees contributed 125 kilograms of non-perishable food items for the Georgetown Bread Basket.
In a joint statement, Rev. Cheryl Parker of St. George’s Anglican Church and Georgetown Lions Club president John Fini shared a positive sentiment about the outcome of the event.
“We are pleased to once again work together on such a fun and successful event,” they said. “This project embodies the true spirit of the Christmas season and we look forward to further joint ventures.”
The December 2025 event was aimed at providing families with an affordable opportunity to meet and take photos with Santa Claus and to raise money in support of the Georgetown Bread Basket and Halton Women’s Place.
