Milton’s 2020 Canada Day festivities are moving to Woodbine Mohawk Park.  The decision was made public during Milton Council’s August 12, 2019 meeting.Town Staff brought forward a resolution to pursue sponsorship for a fireworks display at Woodbine-Mohawk Park.  The resolution passed unanimously.

Milton Canada Day has been organized by a dedicated group of community volunteers.  The group had their grant from the Town of Milton cut as part of the 2019 operating budget. They announced their intention to resign following an active effort to recruit more members to serve on the committee.

Canada Day events in Milton were hosted at Victoria Park with a Breakfast with the Veterans served by the Knights of Columbus, followed by a full afternoon of activities at the Fairgrounds.   “The Halton Agricultural Society is saddened to hear of the decision to move the Canada Day event off the Milton Fairgrounds,” they said on their Facebook page.   Canada Day is the largest one-day event in Milton.  For more information on Canada Day visit their website.
