Canadian Museum of History Releases Canada 150 Highlight Video

From a new signature exhibition that offers a compelling look at Canadian history to one of the most fascinating stories in the history of exploration, our highlight video showcases what promises to be a stellar season at the Canadian Museum of History.

The highlight of this season is the opening of the Canadian History Hall on July 1, Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. The Hall traces the history of Canada and its people from the dawn of human habitation to the present — a span of some 15,000 years. Through authentic artifacts and compelling stories, the Hall invites visitors to explore the events, personalities and historical currents that have shaped, and continue to shape, this country.

As befits this sesquicentennial year, the season’s special exhibitions feature a wealth of Canadian content.

Rounding out this season’s exhibitions are the family-oriented Hot Wheels™ – Race to Win™ and DreamWorks Animation – The Exhibition: Journey from Sketch to Screen, which takes visitors inside the technology and artistry of the world’s largest animation studio.

From hockey fans and armchair historians to art lovers, movie buffs and young racing enthusiasts, the Canadian Museum of History is definitely the place to be!
