Chile is asking for international help with fighting the worst wildfires the country has ever seen. Media reports say that flames have engulfed a kindergarten, post office, and around 1,000 homes in Santa Olga. 6,000 people have left the town located about 360 km’s south of Santiago, and one person has died. The fires have burned 160,000 hectares of forest. The country declared a state of emergency Friday, January 20.
