Cobs Bakery has opened a location in Milton.  The storefront located at the intersection of Santa Maria Blvd and Derry Rd baked its first loaves of bread Wednesday November 14, 2018.

Franchise Owner Adil Hanif said the company’s mission of helping the community was what appealed to him.  The bakery donates the bread they don’t sell to charity.   Hanif made opening Day community day.  The proceeds went to the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF).  “They’re our neighbours.  I know they’ve recently undergone an expansion and they’re in need of more funds,” he explained.  The hospital’s 330,000 sq. ft expansion opened in October, 2017.   100% of the proceeds went to MDHF.  The foundation is responsible for funding hospital equipment purchases.

Kids got a free “fun bun,” which, was reviewed as “tasty.”  Cobs bakery is open 7 days/ week from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Visit their Facebook page for more information.
