Events: November 18-19

November 18: 

10 a.m.- 2.p.m: Seasons’ Christmas Bazar.  Start getting into the holiday spirit with unique items and gifts at Seasons’ Retirement Community, and complimentary refreshments.  Join them for a free Chili lunch from 12 p.m.- 1 p.m.  Seasons’ retirement community is located at: 760 Bronte St.  South

12-5 p.m.: Christmas Craft Market: Search for that perfect Christmas gift at the Mohawk Inn’s annual Christmas Craft Market.  All proceeds are going to the United Way of Halton and Hamilton.  For more information visit their website

6 p.m.: Country Heritage Park Parade of Lights:  Join fellow Miltonians at Country Heritage Park for a visit with Santa.  Tour the park on a wagon, and enjoy cookies and a warm drink afterward at the Gamberel Barn.  Can’t make it tonight? A second parade is Sunday at 6 p.m.  More information here.

Sunday November 19:

1:30 p.m.: Santa Claus Parade: Santa Claus arrives in Milton with the annual Santa Claus parade.  This year’s theme is: 150 years of Christmas in Milton, and Canada.  The parade threads its way down Main St from Scott Blvd all the way to Milton Go Station.  For more information on the parade, including road closures visit their website.

Weekend Note:

The 401 will be closed from Saturday November 18 7 p.m. to Sunday November 19 at 1 p.m. at Highway 25 both ways due to construction.  Police will be on-hand to direct traffic.
