A fatal motorcycle crash closed the intersection of Derry Rd and James Snow Parkway in Milton yesterday.
The incident took place at 3:15 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling east on Derry Rd struck a Hyundai Tucson at the intersection. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, their details being withheld pending the notification of the next-of-kin. There were two passengers in the Hyundai Tucson; a 79-year old woman, and an 86-year-old man. Both were transported Milton District Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision is still under investigation. Police are asking anyone in the area around the time of the incident who has dashboard footage to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065
