The Town of Milton has announced two full-stage closures along the Lower Base Line, between Regional Road 25 and Fourth Line, to complete emergency roadworks and slope stabilization. These closures, scheduled from November 11 to December 20, 2024, will block through traffic to facilitate essential repairs.
The affected section spans approximately 500 meters east of Regional Road 25 to 1.2 kilometres west of Fourth Line. To assist drivers during this period, a designated detour route will direct traffic along Regional Road 25, Britannia Road, and Fourth Line.
The Town of Milton emphasizes that these repairs are a broader commitment to improving local infrastructure for safer, more accessible travel. During the closure, officials encourage the public to plan their routes, consider alternative paths, follow posted signage, and exercise patience while navigating the construction zones.
The Town thanks residents and commuters for their understanding and cooperation throughout these necessary improvements.
