The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) has announced opening of Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 academic year. The board’s full-day, two-year Kindergarten program is tailored to engage young learners through various types of play, promoting essential skills like reasoning and problem-solving in an interactive environment.

Parents interested in registering their children can complete the process online, making registration accessible. The online registration portal allows parents to upload necessary documents, including a birth certificate (required for Year 1 and Year 2 applicants), proof of address, and a student or parent Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate.

For Year 1 eligibility, children must be four years old on or before December 31, 2025. Year 2 students who are new to the school must be five years old by this date.

For families without a baptismal certificate for the child, the program allows admission if at least one parent can provide a Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate. Parents with older children already enrolled in HCDSB schools may also upload their documents online. Alternatively, they can bring their documents in person to the school on designated days.

To support in-person registration, HCDSB has set January 21 and January 22, 2025, as days for parents to bring required documents to their child’s school and provide proof of identification. Families unable to attend on these dates can arrange an appointment on an alternate day by contacting the school directly.
