The Halton District School Board (HDSB) is inviting community members to donate clean, modern formal wear for its annual Fashion Forward program. The initiative provides students with free attire for proms, graduations, and other special events. Donations will be accepted until Jan. 24, 2025, at designated locations across Halton.

From February to May, the HDSB will host several Fashion Forward Open Houses where students can browse and try on donated formal wear in a welcoming and supportive environment. The program features a wide selection of new and gently used items, including dresses, suits, shirts, ties, shoes, and accessories in various styles, colours, and sizes, ensuring every student can find the perfect outfit for their celebration.

Donations of formal gowns, party dresses, suits, dress shirts, ties, footwear, and accessories are welcome, provided they are clean and in current styles. Items can be dropped off during school hours at the following locations:

Oakville: Garth Webb Secondary School (2820 Westoak Trails Blvd.) and Sheridan Public School (1555 Lancaster Dr.).

Burlington: Alton Village Public School (3290 Steeplechase Dr.), Lakeshore Public School (2243 Lakeshore Rd.), and M.M. Robinson High School (2425 Upper Middle Rd.).

Milton and Halton Hills: Gary Allan Learning Centre in Georgetown (96 Guelph St.), W.I. Dick Middle School (351 Highside Dr., Milton), and Irma Coulson Public School (625 Sauve St., Milton).
