Halton Healthcare and COVID-19

Halton Healthcare has a #COVID19 strategy at all three of its hospitals.  It looks at Visiting policies, enhanced screening, and assessment centres.

Visiting hours will remain the same.  The visitors will be limited to 1 at a time, and the hospitals recommend that nobody under the age of 16 visit except under “special circumstances”.  Special circumstances are defined as involving trauma, end-of-life, or a major surgical procedure.

Hospitals are also implementing enhanced screening procedures.  Patients are taken into isolation rooms until diagnosis if they are determined to be high-risk for the virus. Halton Healthcare thanks you for your patience.

Assessment Centres are being operated by appointment only in all three communities (Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown.  Walk-in appointments are not available.  Halton Healthcare recommends booking only if you have travelled outside Canada, and have experienced symptoms including fever, onset of cough, and trouble breathing. To book call: 905-203-7963.  For more information visit their website.
