The Halton Hills Public Library is bringing the spirit of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games to residents.
Starting Feb. 6, both the Georgetown (9 Church St.) and Acton (17 River St.) branches will offer a lineup of events, activities and live coverage.
Residents can visit either branch to participate in four unique scavenger hunts. For every hunt completed, participants will earn a ring sticker to fill their flag.
A new scavenger hunt will begin every four days from Feb. 6 to 22. People can check the library’s program calendar for specific dates.
The Creativity Centres at both branches are offering residents the opportunity to design and 3D print a custom Olympic medal to take home. Participants can drop in starting Feb. 6 until Feb. 22.
On Feb. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m., the Georgetown branch is hosting an Olympic Games watch party. Residents can drop in any time during the event’s duration to watch.
Live coverage of the Olympics will be streamed on public screens at both branches during the Games.
The library is offering a curated reading list featuring athlete biographies and stories of perseverance for all readers. The list can be viewed on the library’s website.
