Halton Hills seeks input for Acton playground redesign

The Town of Halton Hills has launched an online survey to redesign the playground at Danville Park in Acton.

Residents can participate in the survey on the Let’s Talk Halton Hills website. The survey closes on Feb. 16.

The project webpage explained that the “existing playground has reached the end of its service life due to aging amenities.”

The town is turning to residents to help decide which elements they would like to see incorporated into the new design.

The options include:

Traditional play structure: Modern climbing frames, slides and swings.

Fitness equipment: Outdoor gym-style stations for older youth and adults.

Obstacle-style courses: Engaging, high-energy layouts designed to test agility and balance.

The replacement project is currently in a preliminary consultation phase. The town will design concepts based on the feedback received from the survey and share it through another public consultation in the spring.

Afterwards, the town will finalize the design during the spring or summer, and aim to begin construction in the fall.
