Ryan Gentles, a 31-year-old resident of Brampton, was apprehended by Halton Police following multiple violations of his bail conditions.

Gentles, who had previously pleaded guilty to human trafficking charges and was awaiting sentencing, now faces additional charges, including three counts of failing to comply with a release order and failing to adhere to a judicial non-communication order.

This arrest comes after Gentles removed his ankle monitor and fled the Brampton area on January 8, 2024. The 6-foot-tall, 200-pound suspect, known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), particularly Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough, also operates under the alias “Grizzy Gwop” and bears a corresponding tattoo on his left arm.

Gentles’ initial charges include trafficking in persons, benefiting from trafficking, advertising sexual services, and assault (four counts). Despite his arrest, he remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
