The Halton Police have appealed to the public for assistance in locating 31-year-old Ryan Gentles of Brampton, who fled the area of Dixie Road and Bovaird Drive on January 8, 2024, after removing his ankle monitor. Gentles, previously released on bail, is currently awaiting a sentencing hearing for multiple human trafficking charges to which he has pled guilty.
The charges against Gentles include trafficking in persons, material benefits resulting from trafficking in persons, advertising sexual services, and assault (four counts). Standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 lbs with a medium build, Gentles is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), specifically Etobicoke, North York, and Scarborough.
Identified by the alias “Grizzy Gwop,” Gentles has a corresponding tattoo on his left arm. Authorities urge individuals who may have encountered Gentles or possess information about his current whereabouts to contact the police promptly.
Emphasizing the fundamental right of every person to feel safe in the community, the Halton Regional Police Service is committed to bringing Gentles to justice.
