Halton Police are actively investigating a suspicious fire in a Burlington residential neighbourhood, resulting in the destruction of three unoccupied homes on Lodi Road.

At approximately 4:15 am on December 4, 2023, authorities responded to a call at an address on Lodi Road in a residential neighbourhood near Dundas Street and Walkers Line in northeast Burlington. The area comprises a mix of occupied homes and residences currently under construction.

While no injuries were reported, the fire engulfed three unoccupied homes on Lodi Road and is being treated as suspicious. Two additional homes, one of which was occupied, sustained damage during the incident.

The Halton Police, in collaboration with the office of the Fire Marshal, is now actively investigating the fire’s circumstances. Notably, police had previously responded to the same address on Lodi Road for a fire on Saturday, December 2, 2023, causing minor damage. This earlier incident is also deemed suspicious.

Authorities are urging any witnesses with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
