Following a lengthy investigation utilizing the resources of many officers throughout the Region the accused was arrested and subsequently charged. The accused person Christian Lamontagne(21 February 1976) of Milton was held for a bail hearing.
Police are asking for the assistance of the public if they are potentially a witness to this incident to call the investigative team. The incident took place on Friday August 25, at McDougall Park in Milton. The suspect attempted to abduct a young child by grabbing him by the arm and trying to take him to a nearby black older model Honda. The incident happened in the area of McDougall Crossing and Ware Crescent
If you saw the suspect or observed the vehicle, confirmed to be a dark blue 2006 Acura CSX, on the date and time in question please call Detective Constable Quince Buchanan at 905-265-8768.
