The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is getting another elementary school in south Milton.  Milton MPP Parm Gill announced the $17.9 million investment earlier this morning.

“This investment will provide choice and flexibility for families and new opportunities for the children of Milton, Gill said.  The new elementary school represents the seventh new school built since 2018.  It follows on a previous announcement of an expansion to a new Catholic high school in the same area, that was worth a $2 million investment.  The money for both projects has already been approved.  “These projects that we’re announcing; the money is already there,” Gill said.  The province has started its budget consultations ahead of the 2022 provincial election.

“We value the collaboration with MPP Parm Gill and his dedication to the needs of students and families in Milton,” Milton Trustee, and HCDSB Chair Marvin Dutarte said.

The school, known as Milton #9 Catholic Elementary School is located at 390 Gordon Krantz Avenue in the Britannia Rd and Tremaine Rd area of Milton.  When completed it will house 671 student spaces, 88 new licensed child care spaces, and 5 new childcare rooms.
