The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) have introduced side-camera technology on their police vehicles. The new technology will help them with the ongoing problem of distracted driving.
“Police are hopeful the use of side camera technology will be a game changer and that drivers will keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel,” read a Facebook post announcing the use of the technology. Halton Regional Police have laid over 1,000 charges of distracted driving since January, 2019.
