A 34-year-old male has been arrested and charged following an indecent act on a GO Train in Burlington, Ont., on Monday.
Halton police say they received a call around 7:30 p.m. reporting that a man had been observed engaging in inappropriate behaviour while riding the train.
Officers responded quickly, locating the suspect at the Burlington GO Station. He was arrested without incident.
The accused, a Burlington resident, has been charged with one count of committing an indecent act. He has been released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
Police are continuing their investigation and are encouraging anyone with additional information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
“The safety and well-being of our passengers is of the utmost importance,” said Halton police spokesperson Const. Sarah Smith. “We take incidents like these seriously and will continue to work closely with transit authorities to ensure a safe environment for all.”
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 20, 2025, at the Milton Courthouse.
