The Town of Milton is pleased to announce that Troy McHarg has been appointed to the role of Commissioner, Corporate Services / Town Clerk effective immediately.
Troy replaces Linda Leeds who retired on December 31, 2018 after more than 30 years of service to the community. In addition to his role as Commissioner, Corporate Services, Troy will continue to act as the Town Clerk.
“For more than 16 years Troy has been a steady hand providing guidance to staff and Council as Milton’s Town Clerk,” said Bill Mann, Chief Administrative Officer, Town of Milton. “I am confident that Troy’s experience, knowledge and commitment to public service will serve him well in this new role.”

Troy’s career in public service began 27 years ago, as the Assistant to the Clerk and Treasurer working at the front counter for Mount Forest. Since then, he has held various roles including CAO/Clerk/Treasurer/Tax Collector for the Township of South Dumfries and Director of Corporate Services/Clerk for the Town of Lincoln. Troy has held the position of Town Clerk in Milton since November 2002.
