Effective January 2, 2024, Milton Transit has announced an increase in fares as part of its strategy to offset the costs associated with expanding and enhancing service for its riders. This move comes as the transit authority seeks to improve its public transport system’s overall experience and efficiency.
The revised fare structure is as follows: For adult passengers, cash fares are now set at $4.25, a booklet of 10 tickets costs $34.00, and the monthly pass is priced at $91.00. Youth fares, applicable for those aged 13 to 19, are also $4.25 for cash fares, with 10 tickets available for $25.00 and a monthly pass costing $68.00. For individuals aged 65 and above, senior fares are pegged at $4.25 for cash fares, with 10 tickets at $23.00 and the monthly pass offered at $57.00.
Customers can purchase tickets and passes via the Token Transit mobile app, which provides a convenient digital solution for fare payments.
