Milton Transit is making some changes to their routes beginning September 5, 2017. They include the following:
- Later evening service on weekdays
- More GO Train connections, meeting all evening trains
The extension of a pilot project bringing transit to Campbellville was approved by council at its July 24 meeting. This goes against a staff recommendation saying it should be cancelled. Mohawk Inn owner Shawn Salunier spoke up for the project, arguing that it should be given a second chance because of the lack of promotion.
“I would suggest you take a look. Make this as important as any of the other transit projects. We need it not just for Campbellville, but for Milton,” Saulnier said. The pilot was supposed to last until September. The approval will extend it until December 31, 2017.
