A Milton youth out on bail has landed back before the courts, facing additional charges.
On Tuesday September 19th, 2017 Halton Police commenced an investigation into a youth threatening another youth via social media. The investigation revealed that on an unknown date the suspect had attended the victim’s residence and took a photograph of him holding what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun. The photograph was sent with an attached message via snapchat to the victim. The photo along with the message led the victim to fear for his life and call police.
The investigation revealed that both the suspect and the victim are known to each other and have been embroiled in a lengthy dispute. What the dispute is over is unclear. The suspect youth was also out on bail conditions for his role in an unrelated August 31st Milton street robbery over a basketball.
Shortly after 10pm on September 19th, 2017 the youth was arrested and held for a bail hearing. The handgun, later found to be a pellet gun, was also recovered.
The 15 year old Milton youth has been charged with uttering death threats, possession of weapons dangerous and breach recognizance of bail.
