The Town of Milton is now welcoming nominations for Milton’s Senior of the Year Award for 2016. The award helps to foster community pride and build respect and honour for our senior community, while acknowledging the vast contributions they make to Milton.

They must have contributed to Milton’s community in at least one of the following areas: arts or literature; community service or volunteerism; humanitarian activities; education; fitness, recreation or sport; environment or science; or keeping history alive.
Nomination forms can be obtained at Town of Milton facilities or online at www.milton.ca. Applications will be accepted until Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
Nominators must complete a nomination form and provide information describing how the nominee fits the criteria and why they are deserving of the award. Three letters of reference must also be included.
The recipient will be notified by the end of May 2016 and will be acknowledged at the June Town Council meeting to coincide with June being Seniors month in Ontario. They will also receive a certificate of recognition from the Government of Ontario and a lifetime pass for Milton Transit.
