The Town of Oakville is set to undertake a series of upgrades at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre (IRCC). Beginning on January 2, 2025, the renovations will focus on improving operational efficiency, modernizing the facility, and elevating the overall customer experience.
During the renovations, the IRCC pool will be temporarily closed. Additional swim lessons will be offered at other locations to accommodate aquatics program users. More daytime programming is also planned for the White Oaks pool at 1330 Montclair Drive. In addition, one outdoor pool will open earlier in spring 2025 to accommodate more swimming opportunities.
During the renovation, the other amenities inside IRCC, such as the fitness centre, community rooms, Older Adult Centre, and Oakville Public Library’s Iroquois Ridge Branch, will experience minimal operational impact. Impacted customers and rental clients will be informed of any temporary service disruptions, and alternative options will be provided whenever possible.
The recent renovation at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre brings several critical improvements designed to enhance user experience and boost energy efficiency. A fully accessible, newly created customer service desk has been introduced to provide visitors a smoother and more efficient service flow.
As part of the energy efficiency upgrades, the facility has undergone a heat pump replacement to maintain comfortable temperatures throughout the year. The pool’s HVAC system has been completely overhauled, significantly improving energy efficiency, lowering utility costs, and enhancing air quality for users. Additionally, the pool deck lighting has been upgraded to more energy-efficient fixtures, and tile replacement throughout the centre, including the pool deck area, offers a fresh, modern look.
