The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is delighted to confirm a third-quarter payment of $1,386,976 to the Town of Milton for hosting Elements Casino Mohawk from October 1 to December 31.

Throughout OLG’s fiscal year, from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, Milton has already received a cumulative total of $5,994,643. Since the establishment of the gaming site in August 1999, the Town of Milton has amassed an impressive sum of $141,130,613 in contributions.

These payments to host communities adhere to a consistent formula applied universally across all gaming sites in Ontario, utilizing a graduated scale based on gaming revenue generated at the hosted site.

Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance, affirmed, “OLG continues to provide Municipality Contribution Agreement payments to gaming host communities for vital programs and services that benefit all Ontarians. Land-based casinos offer good, local jobs and play an important role in supporting strong, vibrant communities for families to live, work, and play.”

OLG takes pride in sharing the proceeds of casino gaming with local communities, contributing significantly to economic recovery, infrastructure development, and job creation. These payments underscore OLG’s commitment to Ontario, with 100 percent of OLG’s profits being reinvested in the province.

Since 2017, casino service providers have injected over $2 billion in private sector capital across the province, resulting in the development of seven new casinos, one planned development, and various casino expansions and non-gaming amenities. Since 1994, host communities have collectively received over $2 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
