Ontario Closes Drive Test Centres in Response to COVID-19

The province of Ontario has announced the closure of its Drive Test Centres.  The decision is part of its ongoing effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. The closures will begin today, and are effective until further notice.

“Ontarians can rest assured they will not lose their current driver’s licenses due to this decision.  No driver’s licence applicants will lose test fees as a result of the closures,” Health Minister Christine Elliott, and Transportation Minister Caroline Mulroney said in a statement.

It was a mutual decision made between both the province, and service provided.  The “Fail to keep appointment” penalty will be waived.
