Ontario Eases Restrictions on Wedding, Funeral Ceremonies

Ontario is allowing more flexibility on the number of guests at wedding, and funeral ceremonies. The limit will now increase to 30% of the venue’s limit. Outdoor weddings and funerals will be limited to 50 people.

“We have taken deliberate steps to increase testing and increase our ability to track and contain this virus. As we loosen these measures, I strongly urge everyone to remain careful and cautious as we are all still at risk,” Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said. The province recommends that physical distancing from those who are not part of your 10-person social circle.

Outdoor wedding, and funeral receptions will remain limited to 10 guests. The new rules came into effect June 12, at 12:01 am.
