Ontario Junior Hockey League Announces Cancellation of 2020-2021 Season

The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) has announced the cancellation of its 2020-2021 season.  The decision was made in response to the stay-at-home at orders instituted by the province of Ontario.

“Week after week, the OJHL has adjusted the league plan with the goal of getting any type of possible season in for our players,” OJHL commissioner Marty Savoy said.  Only six teams have been able to play a total of 58 games due to Public Health regulations.  No COVID-19 was detected among the the players during the games.

The Milton Menace extended their thanks to their owner, and board of governors on Twitter.  “The Menace would to thank all of our Board of Directors, and all those involved with their endless efforts working with various authorities for theh past year to get our players on the ice.  Onward to 21-22
