The Downtown Milton Street Festival celebrates its 10th Anniversary on June 3 and the event promises to be its biggest yet when Platinum Blonde headlines the festival stage. With four albums that have collectively gone platinum seven times, and multiple Juno Award nominations, the Canadian rockers are set to perform hits from their breakthrough album plus fan favourites.
The Downtown Milton Street Festival runs from noon to 11:30 p.m. along Milton’s Main Street for a full day of entertainment, food, and demonstrations. Visitors will enjoy free admission and free transit to the festival, which features 3 stages showcasing a variety of entertainment including folk, jazz, rock, hip hop, soul, big band, Celtic, country and more.
Attendees will also enjoy over 100 participating vendors, shops and businesses, as well as restaurants and outdoor patios. In addition to the festival’s10th anniversary this year also marks Canada’s 150th Birthday and Milton’s 160thAnniversary. Attendees are encouraged to look for unique opportunities to celebrate these milestones throughout the festival and use the #DMSF2017.
Main Street between Brown and Fulton Streets in Milton will be closed as of 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3 for festival set-up. The Milton Farmers’ Market will not run this day and will resume Saturday, June 10. The Downtown Milton Street Festival is hosted by the Town of Milton and the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area.
