Police Conclude Investigation of Collision Involving Pedestrian in Georgetown

A tragic incident occurred on Mountainview Rd S in Georgetown, where a vehicle hit a 90-year-old pedestrian, causing his death on the spot. The collision prompted an intensive on-scene investigation by the Halton Police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.

The Halton Police have completed their on-scene investigation, allowing for the reopening of the previously closed roads. The investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.

At the time of the collision, several witnesses were present and remained at the scene to assist. However, the Halton Police are extending their appeal for additional witnesses who may have left the scene before police arrived or anyone who might possess dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision.
