Environment Canada has issued a rain warning for Milton Ontario. A system bringing between 15-25 millimetres of rain will hit Ontario from West-East beginning overnight Tuesday, lasting into Wednesday.
The ground has reduced ability to absorb additional moisture because of recent rainfall, and snow. Caution is advised near creeks and rivers. Ponding may occur in some areas. Some areas may also see thunder storm.
Conservation Halton has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement lasting until Friday March 3, 2017. They do not anticipate flooding but warn higher water levels may result because of ground conditions. They are asking residents to stay away from water courses, bridges, culverts and dams.
