Sam Sherratt Student Assaulted

The Halton Regional Police are investigating an assault that occurred on November 28th 2017, at Sam Sherratt Public School at 649 Laurier Avenue in Milton.

During the lunch hour a student was assaulted by an unknown suspect at the rear of the school property.  The suspect uttered a racial slur and fled on foot.  The student was not injured.

Uniform officers and the Canine Unit responded and conducted a thorough search of the area.  Efforts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful.  The school was placed in a “hold and secure” during the investigation.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6’0″ tall with a medium to muscular build, unknown race, wearing a “Guy Fawkes” style mask consisting of a pale face with moustache and goatee, dressed in all black clothing with white and grey running shoes.  The suspect was last seen at the rear of Sam Sherratt School property.

Update: Halton Police Conclude Investigation

Halton Police have completed their investigation of the alleged assault.  “This incident has been resolved.  There are no suspects in this matter and there is no threat to public safety,” Detective Sergeant Dave Costantini of the One District Criminal Investigations Bureau” said.

Halton Police would like to thank officials at Sam Sherratt School for their help and cooperation in this investigation.
