Serious single motor vehicle collision in North Milton

On the 14th of December 2018 at approximately 4:07pm the Halton Regional Police Service was notified of a single motor vehicle collision which occurred on the west side of First Line Nassagaweya north of Arkell Road in Milton.

Initial investigation revealed that a northbound pick-up truck driven by a 77 year old Rockwood man left the roadway and went down the embankment coming to rest on its roof. The lone driver was taken to Guelph General Hospital by paramedics in critical condition and later transferred to Hamilton General Hospital where he remains in stable condition.

There is no indication at this time that any other vehicles were involved. Due to the severity of the driver’s injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended and has taken carriage of the investigation. The road was closed for approximately 6 hours for the at-scene investigation, extraction of the vehicle, and clean-up.
