A Milton resident is celebrating a major lottery win after saying “yes” to ENCORE.
Steven Brownridge matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the Feb. 5, 2025, LOTTO 6/49 draw, winning $100,000.
A longtime lottery player, Brownridge has been purchasing tickets with OLG for nearly 40 years. He enjoys playing LOTTO 6/49, LOTTARIO, ONTARIO 49, and DAILY KENO, typically using the Quick Pick feature. While he has had minor wins over the years, this is his first major prize.
“I was enjoying an early morning coffee when I decided to check my tickets using the OLG app on my phone,” Brownridge said while claiming his prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing at first and must have checked my ticket three more times to be sure. I was stunned!”
Brownridge plans to use his winnings to book a vacation and may purchase a new vehicle.
ENCORE offers 22 ways to win and can be added to most lottery games for an extra $1. There are two ENCORE draws every day.
The winning ticket was purchased at Food Basics on Guelph Street in Georgetown.
