The Town of Halton Hills is gearing up to start its comprehensive pavement management initiative designed to revitalize infrastructure across the town.
As part of the ROADS 2026 project, work is slated for 14 stretches of road across Wards 1, 2 and 3 starting this spring.
While most projects involve standard resurfacing to extend the life of the road, two locations — Holmesway Place and 10 Side Road — are slated for minor reconstruction to address more significant structural needs.
According to the Let’s Talk Halton Hills project page, work will take “approximately two to four months” and roads will remain open to traffic with lane restrictions.
However, Tenth Line and 10 Side Road will be closed when construction begins, with a posted detour route. The town notes that “the contractor will accommodate access for local residents.”
Here is the list of streets included in this year’s program and the span of the construction on the road:
Beacon Gate Resurfacing from Jason Crescent to the end of Beacon Gate
Cameron Street Resurfacing from Mill Street East to the end of Cameron Street
Chantelay Crescent Resurfacing from 15 Side Road to the end of Chantelay Crescent
Clare Court Resurfacing from Division Street to the end of Clare Court
Division Street Resurfacing from Wallace Street to McDonald Boulevard
George Street Resurfacing from Mill Street to Division Street
Halton Hills Drive Resurfacing from Maple Avenue to Princess Anne Drive
Holmesway Place Minor reconstruction from Cobblehill Road to the end of Holmesway Place
Jason Crescent Resurfacing from Ontario Street to Jason Crescent
Maple Avenue East Resurfacing from Maple Avenue to the end of Maple Avenue East
Market Street Resurfacing from Wesleyan Street to Mill Street
McDonald Boulevard Resurfacing from Wallace Street to Churchill Road
Tenth Line Resurfacing 300 metres south from 22 Side Road
10 Side Road Minor reconstruction from Regional Road 25 to Third Line
Until Feb. 20, the Let’s Talk Halton Hills webpage will host detailed maps and information regarding the proposed construction areas.
Residents will be able to access detailed project scopes, connect directly with town staff and voice specific questions or concerns.
The pavement management resurfacing program has been an annual operation starting in 2003 in Halton Hills.
All work will be supervised by town staff and residents in affected areas will receive official notification before construction begins.
The town also notes that schedules may shift depending on weather conditions throughout the spring and summer.
