The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, announced today that he will travel to Davos, Switzerland, from January 20 to 23, 2016, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.
At the WEF, the Prime Minister will share the real and positive economic changes he intends to undertake to create jobs, strengthen the middle class, and grow the Canadian economy. “At the World Economic Forum, we will signal the return of a more positive, open, and innovate Canada to the international community,” Trudeau said. These changes include: historic investments in transit, green, and social infrastructure; tax cuts for the middle class and small businesses; renewed innovation; and Canada’s enhanced participation in international institutions.
In Davos, Prime Minister Trudeau will also have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of international issues – and advance economic opportunities for Canada – with global business leaders, representatives of civil society, and other world leaders.
