Tea lovers dressed in their Sunday best turned out this past Sunday for a Downton Abbey-themed High Tea. The event was organized by Once Upon A Tea, and Escarpment Tea Room owner Edwina Doddington. It was a fundraiser for Halton Women’s Place.
The theme started right from parking lot when attendees were met at their cars, and escorted into the building.
Inside, guests were treated to a fully laden table for High Tea, and performances from singer Natasha, and the Dance Shoppe.
Downton Abbey was a popular television show that ran on PBS for six years. It followed the adventures of the fictional Crawley family, and their servants through out the early 1900’s.
