The Halton Police have charged two accused after investigating a shooting that occurred in Milton on Oct. 28, 2024.
The investigation began after Guelph Police reported two males arriving at a Guelph hospital in the early hours. One of the individuals, suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound allegedly sustained in the Halton region, was treated and released. The other male was unharmed.
HRPS’s Major Crime Bureau has taken over the investigation, and both men have been arrested. The suspects, identified as a 25-year-old man from Halton Hills and a 28-year-old man from Surrey, British Columbia, face charges of discharging a firearm with intent. Both remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
As the investigation continues, the police are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage from Guelph Line north of Campbellville in Milton between midnight and 6:00 a.m. on Oct. 28. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Major Crime Bureau.
