HRPS Charge Additional Suspects in Milton Shooting

The Halton Regional Police Service has identified additional suspects following a shooting in Milton earlier this month that left one male with life-altering injuries. Additional charges have also been laid against previously identified suspects involved in that incident.

Five persons are known to have participated in the events leading up to the exchange of gunfire that took place on February 1, 2019 in a parking lot at Maple Avenue and Main Street East in Milton. All five suspects have been identified and charged accordingly. No suspects are outstanding.

Jaiden ALEXIS-MCLYMONT (26) of no fixed address has been charged with:

• Attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Discharge Firearm with Intent
• Fail to Comply with Recognizance (3 counts)
• Possession of Firearm, Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order

Brenden ANDERSON-WILSON (31) of Milton has been charged with:

• Attempt to commit murder using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Discharge Firearm with Intent
• Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking
• Possession of Firearm, Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order

Charges have now been laid against one suspect who was previously identified as an involved party.

Quinn SMITH-CARR (22) of Markham has been charged with:

• Possession of Weapon Obtained by Crime
• Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (2 counts)
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon

Kyrie Lansford MCKAY (28) of Milton, previously charged in relation to this incident, now faces an additional charge:

• Discharge Firearm with Intent

Police issued a public appeal for information February 1, 2019. Deputy Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah credited the public’s help for the arrests “In particular, the video footage submitted to our investigators played a key role in how quickly we were able to identify and arrest all five involved parties. This is clear evidence that our residents share our commitment to community safety and well-being.”

No further suspects are being sought in relation to this incident, two firearms used in the altercation remain outstanding and the investigation continues.
