The Italian Canadian Club of Milton (ICCM) recently hosted its annual Italia Fest at its Tremaine Rd. Location.  Milton’s MPP Parm Gill was on hand to congratulate the volunteers, and board members on getting a Trillium Grant  of $121,300 for use on upgrading the facility at 104 Tremaine Rd.

“With this capital grant provided by our government, through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we are building a more inclusive community,” Gill said.  The grant was used to make the facility more accessible.  Renovations included a new floor inside the  main hall, ramps, and storage.

“We are building on our Founders vision to create an accessible and inclusive facility that continues to celebrate the Italian Culture.  ICCM President Tony Leone said.  The ICCM was started as a social club in 1969.  Today it provides social and recreational activities to its membership while promoting the Italian heritage and culture.  For more information visit their website
